Of course it is not an easy task to make a general list of states that dominate a vast geography such as the United States. However, I have gathered here the symbolic places that come to mind first when you think of the United States. Here are ten places to see in the US:
Mount Rushmore, located in South Dakota, USA, includes sculptures of four founding fathers, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln (from left to right). The sculptors of the monument are John Gutzon Borglum and his son Lincoln Borglum. The construction of the sculptures, which are 18-20 meters high, started in 1936 and completed in 14 years.
Walt Disney World Resort is a Disney-themed amusement park in Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake, Florida, USA. The tradition that began with the New York Times moving to its new buildings on the eve of the New Year in 1904 and celebrating it with fireworks still continues. It is one of the symbolic places of New York with its colorful signboards, taxis and heavy traffic.
The Golden Gate Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world and opened in 1937, is located on the Golden Gate Strait and at the entrance to San Francisco Bay in California. It connects Marin County, Napa and Sonoma Valley. It is one of the iconic structures of the United States.
The park, constructed in 1857 by Frederick Law Olmsted’s landscaping project, is one of the most popular places in New York. This green area in the city provides a great environment for people to listen. Central Park has 120 different plant species, more than 26,000 trees, 25 bird species and 130 animal species.
It was formed when the Colorado River in Arizona eroded the rocks for millions of years. It was first discovered by the Spaniards in 1540. Grand Canyon National Park is one of the oldest national parks in the United States (the oldest national park in Arizona).
Las Vegas is a city on the Mojave Desert in Nevada, USA, known for its gambling and entertainment spots. From the 1940s onwards it began to take on its present appearance. What you can do in the city is not limited to gambling. Depending on your holiday taste, you can be involved in different entertainment activities, visit the city’s museums and restaurants serving different tastes.
Hollywood Walk of Fame is a walkway in Los Angeles with the stars of famous people (singer, actor and actress of film and TV series). There are more than 2600 famous names on this sidewalk. It is one of the most popular touristic destinations in the US.
Grand Prismatic Springs, located in Yellowstone National Park, is the third largest in the world after Lake Pan (New Zealand) and Boiling Lake (Dominica). (The largest in the US). The spa was studied by geologists in the 1870s and became famous from those years on. The colors of the spa (blue, green, yellow, orange, golden, red, and brown) are referred to by this name (Prismatic) because they resemble rainbows formed by refraction of light.
The steep cliffs along the Pacific Coast in California have an incredible ocean view along the Big Sur. You can visit luxurious hotels, restaurants and art galleries along the coast, about 10 km away. You can also watch the migration of gray whales and seal seals resting on the rocks in Big Sur. The region is visited by millions of tourists every year.
